What is the tidalTAMU Spring Hackathon?
The tidal Hackathon is a competition where students of all levels and majors develop a project based on a prompt provided at the event. Anyone with an interest in data science, machine learning and/or computer science is encouraged to participate! The Hackathon is designed to be friendly towards candidates of all skill levels, and team participation is encouraged.

What is the topic of the first Spring Hackathon?
The official prompt will be provided at the event, but the general topic is focused on vehicle safety. We will provide a specific dataset and encourage its use, but other approaches are valid.

When and where is Spring Hackathon 1?
The hackathon will take place in ILCB 205 from 9 AM to 5 PM on February 24th and 25th, and lunch will be provided.

How do I register?

What are the prizes?

  • First Place: $300
  • Second Place: $200
  • Third Place: $100


How do teams work?
All students may participate alone or as part of a team of up to 4.

Who will be judging the event?
The event will be judged by club officers and graduate students.
